Report
Reports allow you to automatically generate a series of maps and data from a main map and then view, print or export them one by one. A report refers to the sheet and map that the user selects for the report. Each page or graphic of a report contains a modification of the overall representation of the map. This can be either a sub-area or a varied representation of the analyses due to changing data. Reports can influence the content or display of the following objects:
- maps (especially analyses and the corresponding legends),
- Tables inserted as objects on the sheet and
- Single diagrams.
Area reports can also be linked to data to generate a table of the data associated with the report page (e.g. the customers in the area). Please note, however, that such data tables are not generated for all output forms of the reports, but only for File > Export > Data > Report and for File > Export > Produce report.

Inserting a Report
To insert a report, select Insert from the menu CiteOther objects > Report or open the control window Objects and drag a Report from the group Other objects onto a map. A wizard guides you step-by-step through the various settings and design options of the report.
A report is represented by a dashed frame after insertion on the sheet; in addition, a symbol appears in each corner of the sheet. This representation of a report on the sheet is not printed or exported. The report cannot be copied and pasted on another sheet. You can call up changes to the settings for the report at any time using the context menu for the report. Using the context menu, you can also call up a preview on the pages of the report at any time. However, this only contains the maps contained in the report, not the data tables.
After inserting a report, a report heading is automatically inserted on the sheet as a text object. This is used to automatically generate a variable label for the sheets. For area reports, easymap, for example, automatically composes the headline from the name of the level (controlling level), the area key and the area name. If you wish to have other texts in the headline, you can change the properties of the report headline. You can also change the font and the position of the report heading on the sheet in the same way as for "normal" text objects.
To Print or Export a report select the report in the corresponding dialog under Scope.
