The control windows

The control windows play an essential role when working with easymap. They offer the following overviews and control options:

  • Base Mapscontent of the easymap workbook and objects. Further control windows are automatically displayed as soon as they are needed.
  • The user can open the control windows with the corresponding commands in the Window menu.
  • To switch between the different control windows, click on the tabs at the bottom of the control windows.

Base Maps

The Base Maps control window shows all base maps from the selected directory. The default path of the digital maps is available as a directory, which displays the pre-installed maps and is defined during installation (default path of the digital maps). The base maps can be inserted via Drag&Drop onto the sheet in the middle of the program window. You also have the possibility to order new maps directly via the Card catalogue new maps. More information.

Content

The control window content provides you with an overview of the contents in your map and on the individual sheets. You can change the properties or control the visibility using the context menu for the layers. Furthermore you can display legends for the individual analyses. If you switch on the scale ranges here, you can directly use the automatic zoom and thus display your maps with more or less details depending on the zoom. More information.

Analyses

The control window Analyses shows an overview of the analyses contained in the workbook and their legends. It allows quick access to the analyses, for example to change their settings or to make them visible or invisible. More Information.

Objects

The control window Objects contains all objects that can be inserted in addition to maps on the sheets. These serve to design a sheet, i.e. to supplement legends, headings, explanations, etc. More information.

Data

The Data control window shows all data contained in the workbook regardless of whether a table view is currently open or not. It gives you the ability to directly update existing data (if it is linked), import or link new data, and create or edit a query. You also have the option of ordering additional data directly via the data catalogue further data. More information.

You also have the option of creating an analysis with your data via the Data control window.

Scale Ranges

In the control window scale areas you can set for map layers and display types at which scales this should be visible and at which scales not. If the zoom automatic is activated (see command in menu View), easymap decides on the basis of these settings, which map contents must be visible at the respective view scale and which not.

For information on settings and effects on working with the auto zoom function, see here.

Territory Organisation

The control window area organization is also available in easymap office at your disposal. However, it is mainly used for sales territory planning. It is therefore used in connection with
