Scales and automatic zoom

In easymap it is possible to offer an optimized map view by means of adjustable scale ranges. Whereas in the past, map software had to be able to put a map to paper to scale, nowadays it is more and more common to work with the map on the screen. Similar to navigation systems or the well-known Internet map services, easymap can also display more and more map details with increasing magnification. In the following, we would like to give you an overview of the possible uses and working methods of the automatic zoom.

What is the automatic zoom function for?

With the automatic zoom function it is possible to display the map view according to set scale ranges. These scale ranges can be adjusted in the Control window Content or Scale Ranges. But also the Analyses created by you can be adjusted via the scale ranges depending on the working section in the zoom display.

The automatic zoom is therefore ideal for planning in the area of Territory Organization. Since the digital map has already set the scale ranges, you can only set the relevant levels in the respective scale for your planning. The automatic zoom makes the planning phase much easier, since you do not have to switch between different levels to be visible and invisible.

An optimized output adapted to the size of the area (e.g. printing) is also possible with the automatic zoom function. After inserting a Report on the Sheet you can see the preview directly in the report. There you can review the level of detail with which the content the areas are output. Larger areas allow a less detailed display and in smaller areas you can directly see the labelled areas such as postal codes or municipalities.
