Structural changes
Changes can be made to the territory structure at a later date. For example, you can change the base brick level of the structure or add or remove levels from the territory hierarchy.
Change brick level
You can convert your structure to another or to an updated version of the same basic modules. So you don't need to rebuild the structure when updating the map, but simply and conveniently change the brick level.
If you use free numbers, you can also reassign higher-level territory levels to another substructure.
Note: You can only access the brick levels available in the workbook. If the desired brick level is not available in the selection, first close this window with Cancel and then insert the desired brick level from the base maps control window on a new sheet. Execute the command Change brick level again.
If hierarchical numbers are used, the command is only available at the lowest territory level.
Changing the brick level wizard
The wizard consists of two steps, which you go through one after the other.
Selection of the new brick level
This page of the wizard is identical to the corresponding page at Create a new territory structure.
Selecting the update mode
There are two variants to choose from:
The current assignment is transferred geographically to the new bricks. The numbers of the previous and new bricks do not have to be compatible. The assignment must be editable.
Note: Use this option if you want to build your existing territory structure on a completely new basis with a largely unchanged territory layout (e.g. change from a community-based structure to a postcode-based structure).
The current assignment is still used. The numbers of the existing and the new bricks should be largely identical. Newly added numbers are not assigned.
Note: Use this option if you want to migrate to an updated base map and want to check the problems that this migration will cause yourself. Some bricks may no longer be assigned after the changeover because no assignment has yet been defined for these newly added bricks.
Change number of levels
In a sales structure, there can always be changes to the structure, so that further levels above or within a structure are necessary. Alternatively, hierarchy levels can be omitted again and again.
Delete level Territories or locations
Deletes the level or locations you have selected and the corresponding tables (and other elements such as analyses) for that level.
In contrast to Delete only the respective layer is deleted. If other superordinate levels are added on this level, these levels and their areas are retained. In this case, the previous 2 assignment tables are combined to a common assignment table.
The lowest level of a territory structure cannot be deleted individually. In addition, tables that cannot be changed can prevent the deletion of a single level.
Create a level based on the territory
This command gives you the wizard step to create a new structure. This allows you to define the name for your new layer. For the assignment, a 1:1 assignment is first set up that corresponds to the subordinate level and can then be optimized.
Insert the level between the brick level and the territory.
Inserts a new level between the base and the level of territory you have already created. The existing layers remain unaffected by this action.
If you use free numbers, the currently existing assignment between the bricks and the territories is transferred to the new intermediate level. For the assignment from the intermediate level to the higher level, a 1:1 assignment is first set up, which you can reorganize later.
If you use hierarchical numbers, you must specify the length of the numbers for the inserted level. Based on this length, the area sections of the inserted layer are automatically generated.
You can also display a table of this level in the wizard.
Delete
Delete the entire substructure from the selection. In contrast to the command Delete Territory Level, all higher-level structures are also deleted here.
Note: All tables (and other elements such as analyses) that are connected to this level and to the other higher levels are deleted.

Export and import of structures
You can export easymap structures and insert them as a base map and insert them in other workbooks as an Arte base map or import them into another workbook as an independent structure.
Export structure
easymap offers the export of territory structures. The export wizard can be accessed from the context menu of the territory structure by choosing Structure command Export...
In the export wizard, you can specify a destination folder and a name for the territory structure to be exported under File name.
For territory structures with several levels, you can select under Options whether the superordinate levels should also be exported.
Further information serves to make settings for the display of the base map. Here you can set the name, the topic and optionally the timestamp under which the base map is displayed.
With OK you confirm your settings and export the territory structure.
Import Structure
Via the context menu in the control window Territory organization command Import... created territory structures can be imported.
Imported territory structures can then be processed.
