Visits
A route plan is the systematic organization and planning of customer visits or deliveries, in which it is determined which routes the employees take in order to complete certain orders efficiently. The aim is to make optimum use of time, costs and resources.
The benefits of route planning in a company are manifold: it helps to shorten delivery times, reduce fuel costs, improve employee utilization and increase overall efficiency. It also helps to improve customer service because customer visits or deliveries are made on time.
Note: The calculation of visits is currently only supported for EU countries.
The difference to capacity utilization is that the route plan focuses on the optimal design of routes, while capacity utilization focuses more on the use of capacities (e.g. vehicles, personnel). Both aspects are important: a route plan ensures an efficient route, while utilization ensures that resources are used in the best possible way.
