Variants for site optimization

Here you make the selection, according to which the existing locations are optimally distributed, assigned or completely newly created.

Generate Locations

With this optimization variant, new locations are created for all territories to which no locations have yet been assigned. The new locations will be optimally positioned in the territory. Existing locations will remain unchanged. No new locations will be calculated for restricted territories.

Place Locations

With this optimization variant, the existing locations are optimally positioned in the territory. Locations that are assigned to an empty, a restricted or no territory remain unchanged.

Assigning Locations ("Location Territory Matching")

In this optimization variant, the existing locations are assigned to the territories in such a way that the sum of the distances of all locations to their territories is minimal. This may result in individual sites not being assigned to the nearest accessible territory. The aim is to prevent other sites from being very far away from their territory. If there are fewer sites than territories, the most unfavourable sites are not allocated to the territories. If there are more locations than territories, those locations which are most unfavourable are not assigned to any territory. The positions of all locations remain unchanged. Restricted territories are not taken into account.
