License verification

To check the product license, a serial number (customer- not person-specific) is transmitted to our servers. The transmission is SSL-encrypted.

Update search

If you agree to the update search, the program version number and language you use will be sent to our servers to determine if there is a more recent program version. This will allow us to notify you when an update or service pack is available.

The transmission is SSL-encrypted. No personal data will be transmitted.

Bug reports

For faster and easier troubleshooting in easymap you can activate sending of error reports. This helps us to improve the quality of the software.

When an error occurs, data is sent to our servers in the EU, such as program name and version, error message text, exception description and stack, anonymous session identifier, and other hardware or operating system properties. The error description can contain file paths or other data.

The transmission is SSL-encrypted. The anonymous user data cannot be traced back to a specific user.

Usage statistics

The easymap usage statistics help us to identify the functions that are important for the users. With your consent you support the targeted further development of our programs.

For certain actions within easymap, data such as the type of action, number of uses, date/time, program name and version or a unique session identifier are transmitted to our servers in the EU.

The transmission is SSL-encrypted. The unique identification of the session exists only during the session and cannot be related to a specific user.

Address geocoding and address search

To add location coordinates to your addresses or to search for addresses, the necessary address components such as street, house number, postal code, city and country are transmitted to our servers in the EU. No further data from the input file, in particular no IDs, numbers or keys, are passed on to the service. The transmission is SSL-encrypted.
