Raster maps (GeoTIFF)

easymap can also use georeferenced raster maps in the format GeoTiff (*.tiff). However, they cannot be linked to data and used for analysis. With georeferenced raster maps you can only add other representations.

GeoTiff files are offered both in the control window Base Maps (under Raster maps (GeoTIFF)) and in the control window Objects (under Raster map/image).

Properties

The properties of the inserted raster maps can be opened via the control window Content.

Image File The path to the graphic file, this can be changed to another graphic file using the button with the three dots.
Embed Image Here you can set whether the graphic should be embedded in the map folder or not. Embedded graphics are independent of the source because they become part of the map folder. Large graphics should not be embedded as they can be read more efficiently if they are not part of the map folder.
Colors
Transparent Color Here you can set the transparency color for the graphic. This allows you to place the graphic over other layers and not completely cover the underlying layer.
Style  

Caption and Editability

Specify a name here to be able to find the element more quickly in the Contents control window. For analyses, maps or sheets, you should use a name that contains the topic.

EasyMap assigns generic names for new elements (e.g. map 1). If you do not change these, you will later have great difficulty in finding certain content in workbookn.
 

Here you can control the visibility of objects and elements.

Commands

You can right-click an object in the control window Content or a selected object in the map window to open its context menu. This offers some actions that can be performed on this object.
