Data Concept

Differentiation between external and internal created data tables

easymap distinguishes between external and internal data. External data are data from Excel, databases or other data sources that you have linked or imported into easymap. In case of internal data, data tables created by easymap in the course of processing, easymap distinguishes between geographical data, analysis results and structural data.

During data import easymap creates a copy of the data. This copy is managed directly in easymap. There is no connection to the original data source. However, if you link your data link, changes in the source file will be automatically applied by easymap. If you want to delete, add or edit data, you must make the changes to the data source yourself.

For external data easymap offers data management in the control window data via the context menu of a table.

Good data preparation is the be-all and end-all
