data privacy statement
License verification
To check the product licensing, a serial number (customer- not person-specific) together with a product ID is transmitted to our servers. The transmission is SSL-encrypted.
Update search
If you agree to the update search, the program version number and language you use will be sent to our servers to determine if there is a more recent program version. This will allow us to notify you when an update or service pack is available.
The transmission is SSL-encrypted. No personal data will be transmitted. Server logs are stored for up to three weeks for maintenance purposes.
Bug reports
For faster and easier troubleshooting in EasyMap, you can activate the sending of error reports. They help us to improve the quality of the software.
When an error occurs, data is sent to our servers in the EU, such as program name and version, error message text, exception description and stack, anonymous session identifier, and other hardware or operating system properties. The error description can contain file paths or other data.
The transmission is SSL-encrypted. The anonymous user data cannot be traced back to a specific user. Server logs are stored for up to three weeks for maintenance purposes.
Usage statistics
The EasyMap usage statistics help us to identify the functions that are important for users. With your consent, you promote the targeted further development of our programs.
For certain actions within EasyMap, data such as type of action, number of uses, date/time, program name and version or a unique identifier of the session are transmitted to our servers in the EU.
The transmission is SSL-encrypted. The unique identification of the session exists only during the session and cannot be related to a specific user. Server logs are stored for up to three weeks for maintenance purposes.
