Edit content

In this chapter, you will learn how to edit the objects inserted on a sheet or map. You have comprehensive access to the various commands and properties of objects and levels via the context menu. You always open the context menu by right-clicking on the respective layer or object in the map.

Inserting and Deleting Objects

There are several ways to add maps and other content to a hand. When deleting contents from an EasyMap map, some things should be known, since deleting certain elements requires a deletion transfer to other contents in the workbook. More about Insert and Delete objects.

Select, move and align objects

To edit content and objects, they must first be selected. Several selected objects, such as legend elements or texts, can also be aligned with each other.

How to select and process objects and other elements in an EasyMap workbook is explained here.

Change properties

EasyMap distinguishes between the properties of summarizing objects and the properties of individual elements. This is especially important for map layers and map elements - change properties.

Copying and pasting objects

Almost all contents of an EasyMap-workbook can be copied and pasted into the same workbook or another workbook.... more about copy and paste.

Generating User-Defined Texts Dynamically

Wherever labels are used, EasyMap offers the possibility to insert texts with variable content. This allows, for example, user-defined labeling of areas in the maps. These placeholders are called text macros in EasyMap and are inserted automatically in many places. More about dynamic texts using text macros.
